In addition to being a wife to an incredible man and a mother to our extraordinary twins, I am a proud multiple time egg donor. My profound journey into infertility and egg donation over the last seven years has led me to 6 amazing couples with whom I have the humble honor of helping to creating miracles. I have had the rare opportunity to meet five of these couples, understand their individual stories, and truly empathize with their years of heartache and struggle. Knowing most of my recipients has allowed me a unique perspective of intended parents and deepened my compassion for infertility.
During the four years in which I donated my own eggs; I worked with over nine different clinics, five psychologists, four fertility lawyers, and three different donor agencies across the United States. I developed a much deeper understanding of the world of egg donation, created lasting relationships, and acquired mentors. Each cycle has allowed me to further my understanding of the medical, psychological, legal, ethical, and moral aspects of egg donation.
When my last cycle was completed in late 2008, and I could no longer give my own eggs, a desire to continue helping others stirred within my soul. Eggspecting, a dream since 2006, was put into motion. After two long years and a labor of love, in 2010 Eggspecting.com was finally born. Eggspecting, Inc is my continued commitment to those out there who seek hope; because hope is where it all begins.
